If you honestly answered the checklist from the post “WHAT THE HECK IS UNIFIED PARENTING?” then you should be able to gauge where you stand with your parenting skills.

This is not a scientifically precise survey. It is one I’ve based on all of the expertise and knowledge from my years of caring for children of all ages, observing parents with their children, my own experience as a parent of three grown kids and now as a grandparent to seven grandchildren.

The answers are in chronological order 1-20 and I’ll let you know if you’re doing great, might need a little work, definitely needs to learn, adapt, and implement some new positive parenting skills, or if you may need to seek some family counseling.

The following answers are as the checklist should be answered to be doing a absolutely phenomenal job:

  1. Yes 11. Yes
  2. No 12. Yes
  3. No 13. Yes
  4. Yes 14. No
  5. Yes 15. Yes
  6. Yes 16. No
  7. Yes 17. No
  8. Yes 18. No
  9. Yes 19. No
  10. Yes 20. No

This is the checklist answers if you’re doing pretty darn good job already:

  1. Yes or Sometimes 11. Yes or Sometimes
  2. Yes or Sometimes 12. Yes or Sometimes
  3. No or Sometimes 13. Yes or Sometimes
  4. Yes or Sometimes 14. No or Sometimes
  5. Yes or Sometimes 15. Yes or Sometimes
  6. Yes or Sometimes 16. No or Sometimes
  7. Yes or Sometimes 17. No or Sometimes
  8. Yes or Sometimes 18. No or Sometimes
  9. Yes or Sometimes 19. No or Sometimes
  10. Yes or Sometimes 20. No or Sometimes

This is the checklist answers that lets you know you need to learn, adapt, and implement some new positive parenting skills:

  1. No or Sometimes 11. No or Sometimes
  2. Yes or Sometimes 12. No or Sometimes
  3. Yes or Sometimes 13. No or Sometimes
  4. No or Sometimes 14. Yes or Sometimes
  5. No or Sometimes 15. Yes or Sometimes
  6. No or Sometimes 16. Yes or sometimes
  7. No or Sometimes 17. Yes or Sometimes
  8. No or Sometimes 18. Yes or Sometimes
  9. No or Sometimes 19. Yes or Sometimes
  10. No or Sometimes 20. Yes or Sometimes

If you answered “YES” to all of the following questions than I would highly recommend you seek family counseling for the sake and well being of your family: #17, #18, and #19 with #1 and #20 coming in as a secondary indication.

I hope everyone is either doing darn good already or just needs to learn some more positive parenting skills. And please, if you have any questions contact me through the comment section below.
